Janice C. Molinari was the Co-founder and President of 9 Hill Productions (formerly Brisun Productions.) for fifteen years.  An award-winning Producer, Director, Director of Photography and Editor—whose work is known and respected throughout the industry, her work has garnered her 6 Emmy Awards and more than 16 Emmy Nominations.

Since launching her career in 1991 at MTV, Janice has enjoyed high-profile, professional opportunities. Her work has spanned the fields of sports, documentaries, live stage events, public service campaigns, commercials and series. Janice is a passionate traveler with an insatiable desire to experience cultural and beauty in remote corners of the world.  She has traveled on assignments that have taken her to 45 states, and places as remote as the Amazon Rainforest, Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia, China, Japan, Israel and several countries in Europe. 

She has directed some of the biggest names in the entertainment and sports world. 

In 1998, Janice joined the CBS team for the Nagano Olympics, and the NFL Today. Her involvement with disabled athletes has led her to produce for the Paralympic Games in Sydney, Australia and Salt Lake City, Utah.

Some of her most memorable assignments have been working for National Geographic Explorer, producing the MTV documentary, "Get up, Stand Up — The Fight for Human Rights", as a Cinematographer for the Cable Ace Award winning documentary "Erase the Hate" and her work on Mark Burnett's “Eco-Challenge.  She also has been fulfilled by her close work documenting families raising children with Autism for Comedy Central’s “Night of Too Many Stars”.

Janice’s projects have included producing and directing series’ for CBS, ESPN, MTV and YES Network, documentary and entertainment specials for The Discovery Channel, USA Network, Tennis Channel and Comedy Central and corporate work for IBM and Wyndham Hotels.


2013 marked the tenth season (and 100th episode) of Yankees On Deck, the three time Emmy award winning kids show for the New York Yankees which Janice co-created, produced and directed. Additionally she created and produced three highly rated seasons of "Ultimate Roadtrip" a competition reality series for the Yankees and YES.


After leaving behind 9Hill and branching back out into the freelance world, Janice spent a season as Senior Story Producer for the acclaimed “On The Case With Paula Zahn” for Investigation Discovery.  She was also the Producer for Supercross "Behind the Dream" a follow documentary series airing on FS1, and Director of Development for NetworkBe.

But 2020 presented the opportunity Janice to settle down again and use the variety of skills she has honed over the years.  She is currently the Director of Production at HULU in Santa Monica, working with GreenHouse, the in-house creative team across all productions for Originals creative marketing, Brand and Branded Entertainment.

Communicating in this medium isn’t a job for Janice — it’s a lifelong passion. She recognizes the potential to touch people’s lives through her work. Janice focuses on motivating young women to follow their dreams. Her profile has been featured in inspirational book "Cool Women, Hot Jobs". Her unique style of shooting and directing has made her one of the top choices today for networks looking to create stylized programming in the reality, documentary, and sports fields.

An acclaimed storyteller, Janice also seeks independent projects that she hopes will inspire others to take action for social justice.
